A South Florida homeowner hired Gustie to transform their Foyer from a bland open area to a warm and inviting space.  After our full-service design and turnkey project management work, the results were well received and gave a “WOW” appearance that reflects the style of the homeowner.

A South Florida homeowner hired Gustie for a Foyer renovation. The intent was to transform their existing Foyer from a bland open area to a warm and inviting space with a “clubby” look and feel. The Mediterranean architecture, that is very popular in South Florida, created a design challenge with a circular entry area with a very high ceiling. The Foyer felt undefined and generic in appearance.

We developed conceptual design based on a palette of vibrant natural colors to bring warmth and intimacy to our client’s Foyer. This room is a circular space with a high ceiling and neutral colored finishes. It needed a sophisticated blend of color, texture, furnishings, lighting and materials to reflect the style and vibrancy of the homeowner.

We specified polished porcelain paver tiles with a 6” high wood wall base for the floor. The curved steps received an inset of glass tile on the riser and a brass toe trim at the top edge of each step. Walls were painted a light gray with an inset detail of a digital mural. We sourced a vibrant digital mural of a Maxfield Parrish painting that the homeowner’s liked. We added a four candle seeded glass pendant fixture with gilded acanthus leaf in a burnished bronze finish to give an uplifting lighting effect in the overall space.
